About the Louisa Faith Baptist Church
The church was established in 1989 with twelve members; the building was an unused out of date telephone building with old electric boxes and wired running everywhere. We bought the building with no place to park, just the building and lot where it sat. We remolded the building and converted it into a church building. Then we built a pulpit and seats and it has went from there. God began to open up property, lot by lot.
We had to purchase many times houses and lots just to get the lot. Land in town is expensive and hard to get when you need it, but God has opened place by place and allowed us to purchase it, and thank God it’s now almost all paid for and now we hope to take the next step. We have been the last seventeen years preparing, buying land and developing. God is so faithful. Our mission is three things.
- To spread the gospel
- Win the lost
- Disciple the believers
Our goal is to win enough unsaved so as to utilize the property God has given. We don’t feel God would have given us almost two city blocks if he didn’t think we needed it. There is enough unsaved to fill every church we just need to do more to win the lost. The next phase is to build a large structure and fix more parking, please pray for us.
